Poblanos are a great pepper for well-rounded Mexican and Tex-Mex cooking, and work well as a flavorful and mild alternative for Bell pepper in recipes of any cuisine. Plant 12" apart. Officially, 1000-2000 Scoville units, though I've never tasted a poblano with more than the slightest hint of spice.
