Even when Winter comes, fresh local food is still on the table.

Our 18-week Winter Greens CSA runs from November 3rd through March 31st.  We focus on winter greens only -- the thing we all crave in the winter! -- and you pick up weekly at one of two locations.  Full shares and half shares are available, each with sliding scale cost options (more details about sliding scale and the size of each share are on the product pages).  The CSA has two, 2-week breaks: the last two weeks in December and the second and third weeks in February.

If you haven't participated in a CSA before, it stands for Community Supported Agriculture.  In exchange for paying a farmer up front to help them with the costs of growing local food, you receive a share of the resulting harvest for a predetermined amount of weeks. You can expect some variation in share size over the course of the season, with the mid-winter months a little thinner and late fall and spring more abundant.

This is a winter greens-only CSA designed to give you what you want most in the winter months -- green vegetables! Grown with organic methods in our no-till, unheated high tunnels, over the course of the CSA you can expect baby and adult kale, spinach, arugula, lettuce, collards, cabbage, and other green vegetables as available. We do not pre-wash the greens. We will send out an email on Monday each week with details about the shares.

There are two pickup options: at the farm or at The Portland Yoga Project's Forest Avenue location.  Pickups at the farm (3 Prout Road in Freeport) will be on Wednesdays from 9-11am and 4-7pm. Pickups at Portland Yoga Project (449 Forest Avenue) will be on Tuesdays from 5-8pm. If you intend to pick up at PYP, please write "PYP" in the order notes when checking out.  Shares won't be saved outside of these times except in exceptional circumstances, so if you can't come pick it up, send a friend or a family member! You can also buy any of our sauces or other value added products and pick them up along with your CSA share each week.​​​
