Winter Greens CSA Full Share
We think everyone deserves to benefit from fresh, local greens in the winter, and want to keep our pricing accessible so those with limited means can still buy them. This depends on some customers paying more so others can pay less, and we hope that it all evens out for us in the end and we can continue to offer sliding scale in future years.
What better way is there to build our local farm community in Freeport and surrounding towns than by paying it forward to others, and making our mutual support real? Ultimately, you know what is best for you, but you can use the suggestions below to help guide your choice.
For a full share, the prices are based on a range of $14-18 per week, or $252-$324 for the full 18 pickups. See the main CSA page for what an example share might look like.
Where on the sliding scale should I pay?
$252: Supported Share
Consider buying the Supported Share if you:
identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color
are an immigrant or refugee
are living with disability
are a student or youth (think: 25 or under)

Consider buying a Standard Share if you:
are supporting children or have other dependents
have significant debt or medical expenses not covered by insurance
have tuition/educational expenses, or receive public assistance

$324: Pay It Forward! Share
Consider buying a Pay It Forward! Share if you:
own the home you live in, have investments, retirement accounts, or inherited money
travel recreationally
have access to family money and resources in times of need
work part time, by choice
have a relatively high degree of earning power due to level of education (or gender and racial privilege, class background, etc.). Even if you are not currently exercising your earning power, we ask you to recognize this as a choice.
